As part of honoring victims of rape and sexual assault, the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center will will host a Denim Day Event. We invite community members of ages 13 and above to join in a discussion and activity that creates awareness around sexual assault. Everyone who participates will be given materials to create art projects from denim. The discussion will be centered around sexual assault in the media and “rape culture”. Community members are encouraged to bring an old pair of jeans they don’t mind cutting up, but that is not mandatory. We will also have materials. There will be other supplies, including old denim for them to use in their projects. Please RSVP to AVP@mkeLGBT.org
